Our services are available to identified learning providers in the Learning and Skills sector in the North East, comprising FE Colleges, Sixth Form Colleges, Specialist Colleges, Adult and Community Learning, Work-based Learning and FE in Higher Education. We can provide a variety of services tailored to suit your organisation.
Advice

Training and Staff Development

- Brokered training - the RSC works closely with external trainers to provide discounted training.

Strategic Support
This includes:
- E-Progress Review - an independent assessment of e-learning within your organisation. This confidential service highlights strengths, areas for development and recommendations
- Technical assistance - i.e. assessing your college's LAN, managing JANET UK accounts and using technologies to implement e-learning across the post-16 sector. Find out more about the technical assistance we can provide here

JISC Advance
The Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC) supports a host of services to promote innovative use of ICT in the HE and FE education sectors. In addition, they provide the UK JANET network, access to electronic resources, and advisory and consultancy services. You can find out more about the services here.
JANET UK
This is the network which connects the UK's education and research organisations to each other, and the rest of the world through links to the global internet. It also provides a separate network specifically for network development.
The JANET network currently serves over 18 million end users and connects FE Colleges, UK universities, FE colleges, research councils, specialist colleges and adult and community learning providers.
